True charity must emphasize self-help and restore pride and independence. Only in this way can we truly empower Sudanese Women. SSWEN encourages women to discover their strength and to explore the resources that will change their lives and the lives of their families. The SSWEN mission is to provide opportunities for each of these women to discover their unique gifts and to explore their capacity to make positive life changes.
SSWEN places primary responsibility for success on each woman, and provides an opportunity for women to equip themselves with tools that build self-reliance, and to find and use support from other women. Through collaborative effort with other organizations, financial assistance and generous support from compassionate people like you that we can help women and girls in Sudan and beyond.
Each woman carries a vision in her heart of a world where there is enough food for every family; where HIV/AIDS and disease no longer sicken husbands and children, and take them from loving mothers, sisters and partners in the prime of life; where daughters have full access to education and can look forward to a promising future. Literacy and education is a gift that allows all women to see the possibilities and to view themselves and the world in a different light.
